Whether you're celebrating Mother's Day or not, there are a lot of things to do this weekend!

The Color Mint's 5th Annual Spring Fashion Show at Battle Grounds Coffee Company on Washington Street in Haverhill on Saturday. You don't have to be a celebrity or super rich to attend this fashion show!  For just a $5 charitable donation at the door (that will go to Operation Delta Dog), you'll get to enjoy women's fashions, music by DJ Golo, specialty drinks and coffee.  The show begins at 6:00pm with an after party at The Color Mint with food, cocktails and live music from our friends Steve Rondo! The best will be able to shop all the runway looks!

The 4th Annual Pet Rock!  No, not the pet rock you may have had as a kid a gazillion years ago; this pet rock is a fundraiser for the MSPCA at Nevins Farm. Head to the Claddagh in Lawrence for music by the B Street Bombers, Ray Mason and my old friend Gif and his band Lulu's in Crisis.  Admission is $20 and you'll get to enjoy the music along with raffles, prizes, vendors and beer tasting.  Ticket info at 

The Building Dreams Gala - Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity takes place Saturday evening from 6:30 - 10:30 pm.  Come help celebrate the dreams that come true for our Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity families, the heart felt work, and the necessary resources needed to continue building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.  This year the celebration is even more special, as Habitat celebrates its 100th build!  Plus, you'll get to see the beautiful Stevens Estate in North Andover, enjoy cocktails, a martini bar, silents and live auctions, a tasting menu and dancing.  For more info

First Tree Ring - Sapling Festival at Oak & Iron Brewery in Andover.   Saturday from 1 - 9 pm you can help the brewery celebrate its first anniversary.  There will be bands, a food truck, merchandise for sale, complimentary glass with the purchase of a pour and some new barrel conditioned ales. If you haven't been to the brewery on Red Spring Road, you need to check it out! 

Looking for a last minute gift for Mom? Head to Sweet Williams Country Fair on Saturday from 10-3 at 114 Pine Street in Danvers.  48 local crafters and vendors will be offering lots of unique gift ideas, along with food, beverages and more!

Calling all Lords and Ladies to the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire!  Saturday and Sunday from 12 - 5 you can participate in this fun and family friendly event that benefits the New Hampshire Food Bank and Rockingham Meals on Wheels.  Local artisans will be selling their costumes, jewely, pottery, herbals and more, with some live craft demonstrations. The annual Dan Ford Road RaceJoin hundreds of runners, joggers and walkers for the 2018 road race, one of the most eventful, colorful, and fun all day events to hit Methuen each year, as they remember and celebrate Dan, who lost a tough battle to uretha cancer in 2009.  The 5 Mile Road Race and the 5K Fun Run/Walk will go off at 11:00AM.   Prizes & Medals will be awarded at the post race awards ceremony. The 5 mile run is USATF certified with cash prizes. Both races are chip timed by Yankee Timing with time splits at every mile. The first 500 runners get a Dan Ford Road Race T-shirt! Get some fresh air and exercise at the Wellness on the Walkways: Birding Walk along the Concord River Greenway on Sunday. Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with Lowell Parks & Conservation Trustand Lowell National Historical Park!  You'll learn to identify common birds of the area and learn the basics of birding including how to use binoculars and field guides, and earn your own Wellness on the Walkways collectible button! Return for future Wellness on the Walkways programs and collect the complete series.  Meet at the Concord River Greenway: Davidson Street Entrance (51 Davidson Street in Lowell) for this walk which is for all levels of birding experience. Please bring binoculars and field guides if you have them. We will have a few to lend out for the duration of the walk. Dress for the weather and bring plenty of water.  For more info

Child Safety Seat Checkup and Touch a Truck at Commonwealth Motors in Lawrence.  Nationally Trained Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be on-Site to ensure you have your child's safety seat properly installed. The Touch a Truck Event for kids will feature EMT, Police and Firefighter vehicles!  Saturday from 10 - 1.

Sunday at 1:00 you can take part in Paint the Gardens at The Stevens-Coolidge Place with instructors Ana Smyth and Francisco Colom, who will provide step-by-step instruction.  Weather permitting the event will be held outside in rotating garden settings. During inclement weather class will be held in the greenhouse or the historic estate on the property.  All art supplies, aprons and instruction are provided. You simply have to show up and be ready to paint! This class is suitable for all skills levels and recommended for ages 14 and up.  Tickets are available at
