Resident's Guide to Andover Community Events & Activities

What’s Going on in Andover, MA? Your Guide to Community Events & Activities in Andover
Andover is a town where tradition meets growth, and community spirit drives everything forward. A strong sense of community and a growing identity as a destination define Andover’s evolution.
Having lived here for over 30 years, I’ve witnessed many changes, especially in recent times. The population has grown steadily, downtown has become more vibrant with restaurants and shops buzzing in the evenings, and commuter rail service has improved, making travel easier than ever. Most importantly, Andover feels more connected — there’s a stronger sense of community taking shape.
As the town continues to grow and thrive, so too do the events that bring neighbors together, creating shared experiences that strengthen local ties. These gatherings remain central to making Andover a place where people want to live, connect, and belong.
Community Events in Andover
From live music to farmers markets, these events bring neighbors together, spark connections, and show why Andover is such a welcoming, vibrant place to live.

Concerts in the Park
Concerts in the Park are back by popular demand! Bring a lawn chair, slip on your dancing flip flops, and enjoy free live performances the whole family can enjoy.
Andover Recreation is teaming up with Oak & Iron Brewing Company, Maple Ridge Winery, and local food truck vendors to provide food and beverages during concert nights. It’s the perfect way to spend a summer evening outdoors with friends and neighbors.
Free Downtown Music & Movies
Every Sunday this summer, head downtown behind Old Town Hall for the Moosic & Moovies series. Each week features a different live music act followed by a family-friendly film.
Grab some snacks, settle into your chair, and enjoy a fun night under the stars. This event is proudly brought to the community by the Andover Chamber of Commerce.

Art in the Park
Andover is a town that takes pride in its local artistry, highlighted each year at Art in the Park (also known by many as “Crafts in the Park”). Held annually in May, rain or shine, at The Park on Bartlett Street, this event features:
- Local businesses, artists, and crafters
- Handmade products including body care, candles, jewelry, sculptures, and clothing
- Some of the area’s most talented painters, photographers, and artisans
It’s the perfect chance to shop unique, handcrafted items while enjoying delicious food from local vendors.
Ann Ormond, Director, Business, Arts and Cultural Development:
“One of the things I started pushing for about seven years ago was rebuilding our public art presence. We have an active Arts & Culture Council, the Andover Arts and Culture Alliance, and the Artists of Andover group, and I meet regularly with all of them. But one thing the town had been missing was public art. I’ve been doggedly working to get the town, partners, and collaborators to recognize public art as an economic development engine. Now, we finally have forms coming in and people stepping up to sit at the table with me, the town manager, and others to plan more public art initiatives—because public art brings people into town. Our goal is simple: come to Andover to see great art, enjoy great food, and sit down for a coffee.”
Andover Farmers Market
The Andover Farmers Market is more than just a market—it’s a weekly community gathering. Taking place every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM at The Park on Bartlett Street, this producer-only market features:
- Fresh, locally grown produce
- Ready-to-eat foods and handmade goods
- Live music ranging from jazz to folk to bluegrass
- Children’s activities and community partner tents
Rain or shine, it’s a Saturday tradition that brings neighbors together to celebrate the best of local food and culture.
